Thomas Pardoe painted this view Pontypridd bridge about 1822 for the poet Thomas Williams (Gwilym Morgannwg), who was also publican of the New Inn at #Pontypridd. The dish will be on loan from Amgueddfa Cymru | Museum Wales to Nantgarw Chinaworks & Museum for the Pardoe bicentenary exhibition opening on Sept 9

A Cambrian pottery earthenware plate decorated by Thomas Pardoe around 1803-1807 with a view of St Vincent’s Rocks and Hot Wells, Bristol likely copied from the source print from the late 18thC. The view today is dominated by the Clifton Suspension bridge built in 1835.
