Happening tomorrow! Come advocate for patients' access to care and #StopUHCGIPriorAuth with Crohn's & Colitis Foundation - Minnesota/Dakotas Crohn's & Colitis Foundation. More details: crohnscolitisfoundation.org/get-involved/b….

Thank you FierceHealthcare for covering UnitedHealthcare's flawed GI endo #priorauth program & their 11th hour strong-arm tactics! fiercehealthcare.com/payers/unitedh…

❗Prior authorization delays access to care❗ As an IBD doctor, Maria T. Abreu sees firsthand how prior auth is harmful to #IBD patients. Patients don’t need more barriers to care. That’s why we’re partnering with the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation to #StopUHCGIPriorAuth.

Today, the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation and Crohn's & Colitis Foundation - Minnesota/Dakotas are taking this fight to Minnetonka, Minnesota, with a rally at the UnitedHealthcare headquarters. We stand with all those rallying to protect patient access to care.

.UnitedHealthcare – it’s not too late to reconsider your prior authorization program for GI endoscopy procedures. #GITwitter, share this to spread the word and #StopUHCGIPriorAuth.

Check out "Bracing for a Wave of Denials" to learn why UnitedHealthcare's new GI endo #priorauth policy is so harmful for pts. tinyurl.com/55se8u6x

Think UnitedHealthcare's prior auth policy for GI endoscopy won't affect you? Think again, AGA president Barbara Jung writes in FierceHealthcare. It will delay patients' access to treatment & set a dangerous precedent with other insurers. #StopUHCGIPriorAuth now! 🛑 ow.ly/Gi3950OAWpQ

Thank you Crohn's & Colitis Foundation for highlighting to UnitedHealthcare how their GI endo #priorauth program will hurt patients, especially those w/ chronic conditions. uch, stop this #priorauth program. Don't hurt patients!

UnitedHealthcare docs still at odds over prior authorization policy for colonoscopies bit.ly/3N4NoGD

Today UnitedHealthcare switched its disastrous #priorauth program for a nearly equally flawed adv notice program to save face. Don't be fooled! UnitedHealthcare will rollout the GI endo #priorauth w/ the Gold Card in 2024 & we'll be doing this all over again then. This is not a victory, it's a delay😡

Thanks InsideHealthPolicy for not letting UnitedHealthcare dupe the public into thinking the new Adv Notification Program is a victory for docs & pts. It is not! The GI societies have serious concerns. Read more here 👇 insidehealthpolicy.com/daily-news/gi-…

This is NOT a victory. UnitedHealthcare will implement an advanced notification program to get data that they don't have to prior auth #GI in 2024. Its blackmail: if you don't play, no Gold Card which they admit only 10% of docs will. Don't be fooled. #STOPUHC axios.com/2023/06/01/uni…

If UnitedHealthcare really wanted to improve patient outcomes and address over and underutilization they would: ☑️ share data ☑️define the problem ☑️work w/ GI to educate all providers They refuse because this in not about patients, its about profits. #STOPUHC

Don't be fooled by UnitedHealthcare's PR stunt to allow endo for now, but bury MDs under paperwork & then implement the same flawed GI endo #priorauth when they launch the Gold Card in 2024. We'll be fighting this same fight again the fall for sure!

Today, UnitedHealthcare implemented an ambiguous Advance Notification Program in place of its #priorauth policy for GI endoscopy. What does this mean? It is a temporary delay. It will be detrimental to patients & lead to more admin burdens. 😠 Details: ow.ly/PanN50OBYtO. #StopUHC 🚫

👋Contrary to what's going around Twitter, UnitedHealthcare has NOT scrapped its disastrous #priorauth program. UnitedHealthcare's FAQ says they "have not determined whether to pursue additional... prior authorization for these services..." This is far from over! uhcprovider.com/en/prior-auth-…

Thank you MedPage Today for covering UnitedHealthcare's GI endoscopy program! American Gastroenterological Association (AGA) president Dr. Barbara Jung has my favorite quote🥰 "They never showed us overutilization data. We suspect there are no such data." medpagetoday.com/practicemanage…

Yesterday, UnitedHealthcare implemented its Advance Notification Program. Let's be clear: this is NOT a win. It will impact patient access to care and "flies in the face of common sense and responsible medical practice," AGA President Barbara Jung said. ow.ly/fGBS50OEfc9 #StopUHC
