Surveying Bearded Tits today & surprised to find 5+ ♂️ sitting very close together in one location. Birds would fly off in variety of directions b4 returning to same area. No food carrying noted. Could it be that ♀️ on eggs & ♂️ without purpose socialising? Any other thoughts?

It's worth checking all those Black-tailed Godwit flocks around Dorset to see if this stunner has hidden itself within. I know we get quite a few records of Godwits moving from Titchfield to Dorset (especially Poole Harbour) through the recording of colour-ringed birds
