The traveling Work Zone Memorial will be at the welcome center on NCDOT I-95 in Northampton April 3-5.

NCSO units are on scene assisting NCSHP with an overturned tractor trailer on I95 NB at the 126 mile marker. The truck flipped over dumping its load of sheets of plywood. Expect traffic delays in the area.

The Sheriffs Office is currently investigating a stabbing that occurred at Nash Produce between two employees. The NCSO is actively searching for the suspect who fled on foot in the area. The victim has been transported to the hospital in an unknown condition at this time.

Look at all those happy faces! Sergeant Cahoon, who oversees our NC Special Olympics program, recently made some visits to the EC classes at several schools. While there, she gave all the students some Special Olympic t-shirts for their enjoyment.

We’d like to take this time to thank Phyllis and Manon Pruitt for their donation of 50 book bags to the Sheriffs Office. These book bags will be used for our annual Book Bag Bash that will be held on August 5th. Stay tuned for more information as we get closer to the date.
