Thrilled to announce I have accepted a postdoc role at Faculty of Arts - University of Groningen starting in Dec to investigate plurilingual audiovisual input and newcomers’ language acquisition! Both job and flat contracts are signed, it’s all happening and we are very excited to be moving to Groningen!

First round of my postdoc data collection is DONE! It has been a long month of research vs transport strikes, unexpected school holidays, and a cherry on top, false fire alarm evacuation while I was recording the last participant’s post-test 🤪 but it was all worth it!

We had a lot of fun developing a multilingual quest for this year’s Arts Festival at Faculty of Arts - University of Groningen A great way to show that multiple languages really are all around us! If you want to play the game in Groningen, let us know! Matthew Pattemore
