Got to spend time with one of my favourite birds today. This Long- Eared Owl is the 1st I've seen on the patch for 4 years and it was a real privilege to watch it hunting. Definitely made the ( very) early start worthwhile - magic!! Northumberland & Tyneside Bird Club

Lots of Mediterranean Gulls feeding on the strand line at high tide. Green RN86 was ringed in 2009 as a nestling in France and has visited Newbiggin every year since. It has also been recorded in Austria, Portugal and Belgium!
