Very excited to read this new preprint by Lewis Evans and @LiveseyLab. They did a whole genome CRISPR screen and showed that LRRK2 regulates Tau uptake in human cortical neurons. biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

Thanks so much to all the key collaborators Vik Khurana Lab Gist Croft @peng_illinois Joseph Powell to make this effort happen. We also excited to be part of the greater Aligning Science Across Parkinson’s community to tackle mechanisms and potential treatments of #Parkinsons together

Congrats to Sudha for Nature Neuroscience paper on microglia differentiation and tri-culture technology to dissect cell type-specific inflammatory cross talk in hPSC model of AD go.nature.com/3aHZAZG with Jason Tchieu, Nathalie Saurat, @harschnitz, Ryan, Gabriele & Lisa, Dana Pe'er and others

Very excited to have this story out in the world! New strategies to measure and manipulate age in iPSC-derived human neurons and primary fibroblasts. Big thank you to all the authors especially co-lead and computational whiz Chao Zhang, Daniela Cornacchia, Doron Betel and Lorenz!

The GENtoniK paper is finally out in Nat Biotech! go.nature.com/3ROgdZf A chemical cocktail to drive maturation of neurons and other hPSC-derived cell types. Congrats to Emiliano, Andrew, @OberstPolina, Yana Zorina - a.k.a. NeuroBead, Arianna Baggiolini, Shuibing Chen Gabriele Ciceri and many others.

Why do most dopamine neurons die shortly after transplantation and how can we fix it? Excited to see our story out at Cell. Congrats to Taewan Kim & SoYeon Koo Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and to all the other collaborators who made this work possible. cell.com/cell/fulltext/…

How to trigger age-related features in hPSC neurons? In a CRISPR screen Nathalie Saurat identified neddylation inhibition as a tool to trigger hallmarks of aging in neurons and selective degeneration in AD or PD but not isogenic control neurons. @cellstemcell bit.ly/3XBxCsA
