The #N_POC United Nations 2-week PhD course in Ocean & Climate Diplomacy begins in a sweltering New York. Gratitude to all our United Nations 🇺🇳 partners involved in this unique course, including the Permanent Missions and diplomats of 🇫🇯🇸🇧🇹🇴🇳🇷🇹🇻🇵🇬🇳🇴 🌊

So happy to be at Scripps Institution of Oceanography this morning for the start of the DOSI mCDR and the deep sea workshop organized by Lisa Ann Levin @DivaAmon Sarah Seabrook and colleagues

My favorite place in the world for a quiet moment of reflection - it always feels like the legends of oceanography sit and reflect with me Scripps Institution of Oceanography

A beautiful day in Bergen for getting back into the fall work mindset. Little life update - back in Jan, I started up @NORCE where I’m permanent researcher in the #OceanObs group working on #bluecarbon & #oceanclimatebiodiversity nexus topics w/ MARCO-BOLO & OceanICU Project

I was remembering the beautiful conditions I had for BEEBE’s last recovery, as I prepared for redeployment in the rain this morning. Nonetheless, I’m very happy to have BEEBE out for the 3rd Masfjord deployment (part of Bjerknessenteret CLIFORD project)!

PhD position alert! 📢 We are hiring a candidate to study community composition and ecosystem functioning of Arctic worm forest ecosystems at #hydrothermalvents and #coldseeps linked to the #WormFEST project🪱 CBE Arctic Team deepsea Biovitenskap på UiB tinyurl.com/5n6mm5bx

And that’s a wrap on the Bjerknessenteret CLIFORD #fjord #lander deployments. BEEBE is out for it’s 5th and deepest dive in Masfjord. Deployed off the Universitetet i Bergen Emiliana. I can’t wait to see what what we find this time.

I’m not on this platform very much anymore, but if you’re still on here and looking for interesting ocean science material, I’m happy to share a podcast my colleagues and I at the Bjerknessenteret recorded on fjords in a changing climate. bjerknessenteret.podbean.com/e/norwegian-fj…
