Preparing a load more of Puffin plates for glazing and firing 🐧

Last week, I tried combining lino printing and pottery. These two gannet plates have just come out of the kiln and I absolutely love how they've turned out! 💙

Some cracking sunrises while out on the Isle of May looking for colour ringed shags. The team seem to be regularly out over Halloween and so the pumpkins have to be brought to fill a long evening

Back from a great week @IofMayBirdObs. Steady movement of winter thrushes, woodcock, owls, and raptors kept things entertaining, whilst 4 curlews were the ringing highlight.

I have been trying a range of techniques to make my mugs, plates, and ornaments recently: marbling, bubble glaze, sgraffito and hand-building. Always featuring marine wildlife 🐧🐟

Working on a new plate using sgraffito to illustrate Guillemots. Carving into the black slip is tedious work but I love the end result. Can't wait to glaze and fire this plate!
