Had a fantastic time hosting some of our current and past group members for BBQ last weekend! We missed a few, but already looking forward to next year. Was fun seeing Daniel enjoy playing with Marilyne Bélanger-Bouliga and hichem gamraoui 😀 Diep Nguyen Lucille Kuster Jason Malenfant & Olivier

Thank you Angewandte Chemie for the invitation to include my profile in the “Introducing…” section! It was quite fun to answer the question 🙂 Chimie_UQAM Faculté des sciences de l’UQAM

Happy to share our collab. work with Mohamed Siaj group led by hichem gamraoui & publ. in ACS Applied Nano Materials. In this study we use COFs as templates for the synthesis of NHC-func. AuNPs for catalysis. Congrats to all involved🍻 Chimie_UQAM Marilyne Bélanger-Bouliga Amir Khojastehnezhad pubs.acs.org/doi/abs/10.102…

Congrats also to our recent PhD graduate Dr. Kihal (co-supervised by Prof. Bourgault) for publishing the last chapter of his PhD thesis on some cool amyloid peptide self-assembly in Soft Matter. Great job all!

If you've got a story about inorganic-organic hybrid polymers, I invite you to submit it to this special issue that I'm pleased to guest edit with Bekka Klausen and Erin Leitao for Polymer Chemistry! We've already had excellent interest and I look forward to reading the submissions!

Check out this sample from our lab Dalhousie Chemistry that behaves as a blue-yellow colorimetric thermometer! Video credit: me, playing in the lab instead of writing the paper. Synthesis credit: PhD student Will Howlett

Thrilled to be one of the 2025 CNC-IUPAC Travel Award recipients and can’t wait to present our work in the Netherlands! Congrats to my fellow awardees Christine Le & Dr. Marissa L. Clapson! Huge thanks to @CNC_IUPAC for the support. Chimie_UQAM Faculté des sciences de l’UQAM

It was a pleasure to highlight a terrific paper by @GrebGroup and add our perspective on it in Chemical Science. A Focus article led by PhD student @THannah77.

First paper of the year is out. We set out to better understand how MOFs form in solution. 2H-NMR of d4-BDC is the way to go. Huge effort by Amanda to get this sorted out. Congratulations! Memorial University, MemorialChemistry, #MOFs onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/abs/10.100…

Pleased to see NSERC / CRSNG PDF Michael's (Michael Land) work typeset and pick up some heat during the process. It's out Open Access in Angewandte Chemie and, by reviewer recommendation, also as a 🔥Hot Article🔥! onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/an…

Congratulations Dr. Gage Mason ! 👏🎉 It was a pleasure to serve as external examiner for an excellent thesis defence (nothing less expected for candidates from the Simon Rondeau-Gagne group 🙂). Bravo! Wishing you all the best for your exciting next chapter. Cheers 🍻
