Not a good sign - a similar and persistent trend in my home country drove me out. No incentive for people who want to be in academics to stay and be productive.

My amazing friend and co-author Bea Ahumada is on the job market! She also works in the space of discrimination extending our understanding of inequalities using experiments.

On the #EconJobMarket ! 🚨 JMP Alert 🚨 Individuals fail to incorporate information held by their spouses. Is it because they are generally reluctant to learn from their spouse? In my #JMP, I show: NO! Because communication is challenging in the absence of expertise. 🧵[/10]

Do you want to know more about my research agenda? My work explores fairness, inequality, and redistribution preferences using experimental and behavioral methods. In this thread, I talk about my ongoing and future projects!🧵

My fabulous student Priyoma Mustafi is on the job market. Her excellent JMP demonstrates that failed HH information pooling is not due to reluctance to learn from one’s spouse. A domain with common knowledge of expertise shows successful pooling and directed communication.
