Donald Trump illegally attacked a foreign country, putting American lives at risk — our troops, our families, our communities. He bypassed Congress & the Constitution. Now, the American people will be forced to pay the price for his recklessness. This is not leadership.

The most depressing & demoralising thing is that for all the talk of ‘change’ nothing that is really important changes in a good way does it?. It is utterly depressing that 22 years after ‘Iraqi WMDs’ we’re having exactly the same pro-war charade played out with only one letter

“with only one letter changed- a ‘Q’ changed for an ‘N’.” If you're lucky! Sam Kiley, Independent: “Should America go back into the business of regime change – which failed horribly in Iran [sic] and Afghanistan and left both nations ruined, riddled with extremism…”

Neil Clark The most depressing thing is that many people who remember the Iraq fiasco, and who railed against it, are now swallowing the same WMD propaganda hook, line and sinker. Probably because this time their hero Trump is at the helm. It's cult-like behaviour. ☹️

Neil Clark There are millions far less naive in UK now compared to 2003. Both as to believing our govt and to believing that voting one mainstream party out and another in will fix it. We were dumb enough to think that 1m showing up in Hyde park to protest would work.

Very good point. A month ago no one was talking about this. Yet it seems, all of a sudden, it was all so terrifying and urgent that Iran had to be bombed.

Zarah Sultana MP (@zarahsultana) 's Twitter Profile Photo

A million people marched against the illegal war in Iraq and they were right. Now the same script is playing out again. Same lies, same institutions, same push for war. We can’t let history repeat itself.

Neil Clark (@neilclark66) 's Twitter Profile Photo

One of our few decent MPs. One of the few speaking up about what we’re being led into. Zarah also voted against ‘Assisted Dying’ and against the scrapping of the universal Winter Fuel Allowance.

We’re on a very slippery slope indeed if we classify protest groups governments disagree with as ‘terrorists’. If protest groups break existing laws eg trespass, obstruction of the public highway, vandalism etc, then they can be charged under those laws if deemed necessary but

CNN last week: US intel says that Iran is years away from developing a nuclear weapon. Trump bombs Iran's nuclear facilities. CNN today: US intel says that Iran's nuclear program has only been set back a few months. This is CNN. Predictable as ever.

These ‘anonymous sources’ clearly want the war to continue. Why else would they be coming out with this as soon as the missile attacks & the bombings stop?

Neil Clark (@neilclark66) 's Twitter Profile Photo

It was always going to be too good to be true that the war was over. Israel & the hawks in the US will seize on this to say that more bombing is needed.

Neil makes a good point. If I am Bibi or his minions I want this report to be sung from the highest mountains! Soon Lindsey Graham is going to sashay down to the Senate Floor with this report in his hand demanding more airstrikes! Or a ground invasion!
