We are so proud of our wheat patch! We can now see the ears of wheat. Reception have been reading about ‘The Little Red Hen’ and how she baked her bread from scratch, we can’t wait to do the same!📷📷 We’re also growing pumpkins, tomatoes, runner beans and tomatoes.

Today is World Bee Day! Eco Club celebrated by doing a bee watch in Forest School. The children were so excited to spot lots of busy bees, many with bright yellow pollen sacks on their legs! It was a great way to learn about how important bees are for our environment.📷

After reading The Little Red Hen, Reception rolled up their sleeves and got hands-on with some bread making of their own. From kneading the dough to baking their buns, they learned about teamwork, patience and the joy of eating something they made themselves! Well done!

Year 1 have been learning about Andy Goldsworthy, an artist who loves working with nature. The children used natural materials to create their own mandala's and thought about the colours and symmetry Andy Goldsworthy used in his work.

Things are ‘growing’ great in our garden! Our little veggie patch is coming along beautifully and we can’t wait to see (and taste!) the final results. There’s just something special about watching your food come to life. 📷📷The Elliot Foundation #veggiepatch #homegrown

What a fantastic day our Year 4 class had at the safari park! The sun was shining, and we were incredibly lucky to see so many amazing animals up close. Every single child was a credit to the school, showing excellent behaviour and making us all incredibly proud.

Our Reception class had a brilliant time exploring different ways to travel. They started our journey at Cradley Heath station, hopping aboard the train to Stourbridge. The excitement on their faces as the train pulled into the station was priceless!

In Forest School we harvested two crisp cucumbers straight from our garden. Our enthusiastic young foragers gave them a good wash and brought them to Mrs. Humphries, who kindly sliced them up. Mrs Bate… verdict? “Delicious!” and “Nice and fresh!”
