Just spent time with over 100 high schoolers at Nevada StateU Future Educators Day, and let me tell you the two key reasons why we do not have sufficient numbers of teachers in the classroom today and in the teacher pipeline. We need to listen to the children:

Tis the season! Tonight Nevada StateU is celebrating 17 undocugrads and their families, the most in our history. NS was the first institution in Nevada to partner with TheDream.US Scholarship. Excited by this partnership and proud of our work in this space! 💛🖤🦂
When describing her arduous journey as a soon-to-be Nevada StateU undocugrad, a student shared: “Sweat was the reaper and poverty was the stubborn weed that refuses to come out of the soil.” I love when a student’s truth lands on me deeply, lingering & leaving me changed. 💛🖤🦂
