Good stuff from Abbie MacGregor this morning. We all want to address the issue of problem gambling and the suggestions being put forward are sensible. But it needs a proper debate based on the facts, not the discredited data used here and by the anti gambling lobby generally.

It is so incredibly important the debate is evidence based, and any actors using false and misleading statistics are removed from the debate. The treatment and prevention of gambling addiction shouldn't be about empire building for professional wokey just stop oil esque

Absolutely bang on. Let’s have an honest debate about gambling harm rather than take as gospel the zealots who exaggerate it and threaten thousands of jobs. Some basic common sense from our elected representatives would also be helpful.
