This morning we joined up with Cambridgeshire Geological Society for a guided FenEdgeTrail walk along the Aldreth Causeway down to the Old West River & Nine Acre Wood 🌳 Lots to discuss about the geology, history, wildlife & landscape of the area. See fenedgetrail.org for walk guides 👣

Beautiful autumn colours at Chippenham Fen NNR last week 🍂 Thanks to Natural England Norfolk and Suffolk reserve staff for giving us an excellent tour, introducing us to the site's rare species such as Cambridge milk-parsley, silver barred moth & Rosser’s sac spider. 📷 Peter Bates

Last week we enjoyed a couple of bird ID walks with local wildlife guide David Chandler at RSPB Fen Drayton Lakes. We saw 30+ species including bullfinch, treecreeper, black tailed godwit, goldeneye, gadwall and teal 🦆🌞 RSPB David Chandler
