Day 110 - some lovely feedback from a new parent today was the highlight. She described the school as an ‘absolutely incredible place’ 😍 On the other side of the headship coin - a 7 day suspension for my Y6 friend following an unprovoked assault on a younger pupil 😢

SATs results day is here again. 😬 Good luck all (and that is just for being able to get onto PAG before 10am!) 😂

Day 111 - PAG behaved better than ever this morning and we are really pleased with our SATs results. The reading pass mark was 1 higher than we needed it to be to make good results excellent ones but still a positive day. Hope others have gone on ok too 🤞🏻

Day 113: highlight of the day was my site supervisor bringing me a Magnum ice cream for no reason other than to be nice 😍 Got quite a bit done today too although still lots to do. WFH in the morning as I have my performance management on Teams (my 1st as a HT 😬)

Shout out to school office staff First to face complaints. Last to take credit. Always calm, always kind. They keep the school running, the headteacher sane, and the community connected. We couldn’t do the job without them. A massive thank you! #ShineOn #BurnBrighter

Year 6 prom. On the hottest day of the year. In a hall with no air con. 6pm - 8pm. 🫠🫠🫠🫠

A few people questioning why we have a Y6 prom. I too was against it when first suggested many years ago, however it went ahead. Now it has become a tradition & when i suggested not doing it to the parents/pupils, there was uproar! 😂 They absolutely love it and so we do it! 🤷‍♂️

No idea what day I am on now, maybe 116. Either way, it’s been a long week and it is only Tuesday!! 😂 Some pupils finding this week a challenge even though we are teaching as normal. So much to try and box off too. 3 days to go!

An interesting day.A meeting with a parent who continues to make malicious & totally untrue allegations against staff. He was rude & borderline aggressive throughout. Described me as defensive, abrupt & said I was ‘a bully using public funds’.I will continue to defend my staff 🤯

Really appreciate all the messages of support about yesterday. CoG and Trust CEO have been amazing & really helped. Been a bit more fall out today but nothing as bad & feel we are getting there. Feeling happier than ever that i decided to post my first year on here! Thanks all 🙂

Mixed for us. Our Year 6 parents are more grateful than any have been for many years. Year 5 are always good too but then I would say it gets worse as we move down the school

Does anyone else REALLY struggle at the start of the hols? I find it so hard to go from the crazy relentlessness of the last week to just trying to stop and relax. Always feel restless and anxious I should be doing something for the first few days. Want to chill but can’t 😩🙄
