It has been a very busy week here at NJA, last night we hosted our leavers disco. The children went for a Summer Ball theme. A wonderful time was had by all! 🤩

On Monday we had our annual sports day! It was great to see all of our pupils joining in showing great team spirit! Thank you to Linda Stacey for organising and running the stations for us as always! 🤩

You may have seen on our newsletter that this week year 6 are taking part in ‘Ready, Steady Pedal’ and on Tuesday there will be Dr Bike sessions run by the team. Any of our families with broken bikes can bring them in and see if they can be fixed! 😁

We’ve done it again!! Gold award in the School Games! 🤩 An award for our commitment, engagement in the School Games for 2024/25. A huge thank you to Miss Wood for arranging all of these extra sporting opportunities for our pupils! ⭐️

Join us in the last week of term for our Take One Picture exhibition in the main entrance. Each class will be showcasing their art project based on this year’s picture, selected by the National Gallery. Parents are welcome to come and view the exhibition after school on Monday!

Had an amazing day on Tuesday with all of u4 from Hillside Primary School & Newsome Junior Academy. Children took part in archery, cricket, golf, fencing, Capture the flag, problem solving & boules. Thanks to the fab leaders from y7&8 Newsome Academy who helped to run the event.

Ready Steady Pedal! The children have LOVED being able to spend time both on site and around the local area bike riding. We had lots of bikes brought in for the Dr Bike session, where children were taught basic bike maintenance which will definitely help them in the future! ⭐️

SCHOOL OF POP 🎬 Year 6 blew us away last night with their leavers performance. The theatre was full of laughter and tears, it was definitely a night to remember! ⭐️🤩 Thank you to Newsome Academy for kindly letting us use the lecture theatre for the performance!
