🔵🔴🟡 WEEKEND FIXTURES 🔵🔴🟡 A busy weekend of fixtures to kick off the season for many teams. A road trip to Cumbria for OA on Saturday for their first game. 4 home & 3 away games for on Sunday including another Cumbria road trip this time for the U16s! Good luck everyone! 🍀

🔵🔴🟡 U14S NEWS 🔵🔴🟡 Storm started off very strong on a heavy pitch, with 4 tries in 15 mins. 6-22 HT. Storm struggled to get their game going in the 2nd half but managed to keep a distance between the 2 sides & winning 24-32. Special call-out to George for his first ever try.

🔵🔴🟡 U13S Great win for the lads today against a very good HFH side. Started the game on the back foot going down 6-0. The team re grouped, keeping their discipline, working hard for each other to win 14-10. Things to work on in training but moving in the right direction!

🔵🔴🟡 U18S NEWS 🔵🔴🟡 Newton Storm 36 - 8 Westhoughton Lions A promising start for the season ahead for our newly formed U18s. A stop start game due to both teams getting used to the new rules. From what we've seen today it looks like it's going to be a great season!

🔵🔴🟡 U12S NEWS 🔵🔴🟡 A good positive start to the season. The first 10/15 minutes were a struggle, but then towards the end of the first half and the majority of the 2nd we dominated and were unlucky not to get a win. We look forward to next week.

🔵🔴🟡 U10S NEWS 🔵🔴🟡 U10s started their season with a great win away to Haresfinch. Played some great rugby and played in positions for the first time ever and made it look like they had done it years!! Proud as always with this team! 🏉

🔵🔴🟡 U9S NEWS 🔵🔴🟡 Today our U9s played a tough game against a very good Oldham side. We stuck in all the game and completed well. 🏉

🔵🔴🟡 U10S NEWS 🔵🔴🟡 U10s had an eventful morning switching grounds to get the game going! Massive thanks to Haydock ARLFC for running round early to get the game going. Had a great muddy & hard fought win. Really physical game played in the right way. 2/2 for our U10s 💪🏼

🔵🔴🟡 U14S NEWS 🔵🔴🟡 The U14s were supporting Down Syndrome Awareness day. A really competitive game with both teams trading tries after a few mistakes. 2nd half Storm took the lead but gave the ball away cheaply. A try in the last 2 mins saw Westhoughton win the game 12-16.

🔵🔴🟡 U16S NEWS 🔵🔴🟡 Newton Storm 0 - 44 Seaton Rangers A tough day at the office for the U16s this morning. They've seen the standard of the new teams to this division and know what to aspire to. Plenty to work on, we go again next week!

🔵🔴🟡 U7S NEWS 🔵🔴🟡 For the first time in over 5 years we've got our U7s up & running with their 1st fixture. Each player gave it their all & smiled in very wet and muddy conditions & as a club we couldn't have asked for more. Here's to many more fun Sundays ahead as a team.
