As a blind person, I sometimes experience some odd interactions with the general public when out and about. Today, on two separate occasions, cashiers who I'd just paid handed my change to my wife @astro_hedgehog, rather than trying to pass it back to me. That's a new one...

Hi CamCab Taxi I'm a blind guide dog owner and yesterday I was refused by 2 of your 3 taxis that were ordered at the end of a Cambridge meeting. Both drivers claimed allergies but only one Ā could show a health certificate. Sadly this is not an unusual occurrence.

Looking forward to talking about accessible presentations at #presenternet2018 this morning by showing some really inaccessible examples I've encountered in the past, then helping people to think about non visual communication in a Tactile Universe workshop with Dr Jen Gupta

Just spoke about Tactile Universe at #IAUS358 in a session moderated by another blind astronomer with a further two blind astronomers in the audience. This is not the norm, but it so totally could be!

Dr Nic Bonne from Portsmouth Cosmology answers a question from Rosella for The Conversation. He says to properly understand what a galaxy is, we should start by looking at our own Milky Way galaxy 🌌 #Universe #Space Tactile Universe CoffeeSamurai bit.ly/3EIUYCE
