Place Glacier near end of #heatdome (30 June) imaged with Hakai Institute University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) ACO hyperspectral scanner at 1701, 1030, 535 micron, then as an RGB composite. Fantastic work Nick Viner

Last Friday, the Hakai Institute University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) Airborne Coastal Observatory - ACO - commenced our 2022 acquisitions with first LiDAR acquisition of Place Glacier, one of the few monitored since 1965 by Geological Survey/Commission géologique Canada. Nice work Nick Viner

Finishing up a 2 week field campaign multibeaming 375km of the Fraser River. Truly an amazing experience in a beautiful part of this world. Big thanks to Jeremy Venditti for having me along!

We (Hakai Institute @HakaiGeospatial and University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) ) are happy to help Dr. Caitlyn Florentine and USGS in measuring glacier mass change in Montana and Washington with the ACO. NIR ortho (25-09-2021) and snow depth (26-06-2022), Sperry Glacier, upper left.

Didn't think my first climb outside the gym would be underground. Cheers to Horne Lake Caves for an absolutely phenomenal experience. You've inspired a future caver!
