No matter what skin type you have, when it comes to UV radiation, there’s no such thing as a safe tan!Tan seekers are at greater risk of skin cancer. Even if your skin tans rather than burns, the simple fact that your skin has changed colour is a sign of damage.Want a tan?FAKE IT

AROUND 70% OF MELANOMA ARE ‘SUPERFICIAL SPREADING MELANOMA’ AND FOLLOW THE ABCDE RULE. Superficial spreading melanoma’s the most common form of melanoma arising from a seemingly normal or healthy pre-existing mole or freckle. However, the majority around 70% appear as a new mole!

A huge thank you to UKONS for voting me onto the UKONS board. It was a privilege to meet the board members yesterday, to hear of the exciting plans for the UKONS conference. I feel motivated by the inspirational nurses I met, to strive towards supporting oncology nurses.

A huge well done to Lucy & Vanessa on their 1st IO study day, attracting an astounding 90 delegates. It demonstrates the ongoing need for IO education.

Huge congratulations to Amanda. Amanda has always supported my IO study days, delivering her session on IO hepatotoxicity. Such a driven nurse, who has transformed the care hepatology patients receive.

Congratulations to Megan! We’ve got to know each other on some Uni modules. A really innovative, highly patient centred nurse.
