Our very own Naomi Clayton presenting the Learning for Health award to inspirational winner Susannah. Being diagnosed with cancer has motivated her to be ‘an artist with purpose’. Art has enabled her to find a different way of talking about cancer. #festivaloflearning2024

Excellent new report from UCAS Corporate supported by Carers Trust highlights the challenges that young adult carers face in HE, and the support that can make a difference ⬇️⬇️

Really pleased to be speaking at the launch event for this important Carers Trust report today. Young carers on average missed 23 days of school in 2022-23, compared to 14 days missed by young people who are not young carers. Excellent set of recommendations 👏👏

Excellent recommendations in this report, great work Andy McGowan👏 Exempting young adult carers from the 21hr rule in the benefits system must be a priority in levelling the playing field for young adult carers. Learning and Work Institute pleased to work with Carers Trust on this policy ask

Unlocking potential Learning and Work Institute research with Generation Generation & JP Morgan. Despite skills shortages, employers favour ‘traditional’ recruitment channels. Most recruits to digital roles are graduates. Broadening pathways will boost social mobility / fill key skills gaps.
