Had a dynamic conversation in Cairo with private sector representatives. Valuable insights on how policies could enhance the business environment to ensure that the private sector becomes a stronger engine of growth.

The IMF’s new Regional Training Program for South America and Mexico is tailored to meet the analytical and institutional capacity needs of the region. I am delighted to be in Paraguay to launch the program which is supported by Banco Central del Paraguay, and to meet some of the first graduates.

Financial inclusion is not merely a matter of equity, it is a cornerstone of economy-wide resilience. Speaking CGAP in Amsterdam today, I highlighted the IMF’s efforts to mobilize official and private financing to create an enabling environment for robust and sustainable growth.

In keynote speech at #FFD4, in Spain, I argued the shifting world economy presents opportunities for countries to decisively accelerate growth. 3 priorities: strong domestic reforms, tailored and coordinated support & address debt vulnerabilities. imf.org/en/News/Articl…
