Years ago I was encouraged by the Lord and by my dear friend Lex Luger to simplify (be uncluttered) my life. So, I set out on a quest to do just that. It’s too easy to get distracted by detail and before you know it, we are bogged down. Learn to njoy a simple life. #TGIF

Sometimes, we simply need to ‘re-adjust’ our thinking. It’s too easy to get bogged down with all the chaos that swirls around us from day to day. The Good News is by far the BEST option I’ve personally found to change my thinking. Consistency has been key. #ItsTIMEToManUp #TGIF

We can get very distracted by lots of shiny objects thinking they’ll bring happiness. Simplicity is key. In reality, all ‘things’ acquired are temporal. Happiness? Temporal. And, it’s an emotion that lasts momentarily. Search for joy. True joy. It lasts eternally. #ItsTIMEToManUp

Getting ‘too’ comfortable can potentially rob you of motivation and the greater will to succeed. I’ve learned over the years to maintain my hunger, a desire to do more and achieve more. And for the record, I’m not trying to stockpile more ‘stuff.’ It’s the generational I’m after.

Think about the way you see other people. Do you see them as irritations and burdens? How you see others is a great test of your maturity. When it comes to your own personal growth, be determined to be a lifetime learner. Learn to have compassion for yourself and others. #TGIF

Are you teachable? Coachable? Correctable? A wise person wants a wise person speaking Truth into their lives so they can be a wiser person. “Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be still wiser; Teach a just man, and he will increase in learning." #ItsTIMEToManUp #TGIF

Life, health, family, friends, finances, etc all originate from the Creator. Once we have revelation of that reality, everything changes. Perspective, focus, motivation, etc all take on a different approach. It’s been a lifelong journey in figuring this out. #ItsTIMEToManUp #TGIF

How easy is it to overreact? A. Pretty easy. It takes lots of discipline to exercise self control. You may have more patience than you realize. But, you’ll never really know if you don’t first try. Key? Having “a peace that surpasses all understanding.” Ponder! #ItsTIMEToManUp

React, respond or maybe you’re not supposed to say or do anything. Exercising self control with people or situations can be very challenging. But, for those who achieve it, it can be incredibly rewarding. Learn to operate from a posture of peace that surpasses all understanding.
