Our Director, Archana—kicks off Yuva Samvad Day 1, with her keynote—that prompts us to investigate the questions pertaining to today’s youth. Highlights: Importance of bringing ‘Yuva Nazaria’ to the grassroots and organisational work; and what a safe space means for the youth.

Our ‘Tree of Dreams’ is brimming with life, and is full of desire to always be in a continuous period of growth! From being a celebrity, to getting a PHD, these leaves reflect the dreams and aspirations the youth of today carries within. #YuvaSamvad #HamareHisseHamareKisse

Our first panel investigates the question—Yuva Kon Hai? The seemingly simple question is riddled with a myriad complexities—especially when we consider the nuances of child and early marriage, of caste, gender and sexuality—of one’s position in society. #YuvaSamvad

The session on ‘Yuva Kon Hai?’, moderated by Purnima, started with a film that takes a deep dive into the question. It bore witness to a powerful sharing—where the youth talked about their lives, likes and dislikes, and the experiences unique to them. #YuvaSamvad

Our second session, moderated by Prarthana, pertains to the question of—Gender and Sexuality—and the spectrum reflections and learnings it insinuates for facilitators when they step into the field. With NazariyaQFRG The YP Foundation, BUDS, and Shahjani Siksha Kendra

Day 1 of #YuvaSamvad ended with a BANG—a mix of song and dance, stand-up, and impromptu performance, that brought the audience to their feet! Leisure, joy, and celebration are radical emotions for young girls and women. We are geared to up start Day 2 with the same energy!
