This is the Finchley I know and love. Please read my reflections on what has been a challenging week for our community but one in which we have risen to the occasion. (Big thanks to Barnet Multi Faith forum Barnet Multi Faith Forum for the work you have done and continue to do).

We went down to a Barnet Hotel today with SBWA & Finchley Progressive to share lunch with our friends seeking asylum, and show our solidarity! So proud of how our community has responded! Huge appreciation for all who donated and made this possible. Especially New Citizens' Gateway!

Wonderful to celebrate 30 years of Church on the Corner yesterday, and hear heartwarming stories of of the church's history and people. Looking forward to working together on the next chapter of COTC's journey!

Great to hear Dan Tomlinson MP talk about the work of North London Citizens at the UCL Policy Lab event in Liverpool today. #communityorganising works!

Delighted that the Assembly supported this motion supporting wider access to public transport for asylum seekers 🚌 Massive thanks to Citizens UK for their tireless work alongside many, many committed campaigning and advocacy organisations.

In the same week that Oxfordshire has announced its pilot for free bus travel for people seeking asylum, it's wonderful to see that London Assembly has also passed this motion! 👏👏 to Citizens UK and all the other organisations involved in this campaign.

Brilliant work! Hendon School North London Citizens are so proud of you!

Amazing work Hendon School ! You're all mensch's! Collecting food and toiletries on Mitzvah Day for GIFT FOODBANK and SOUTHGATE MOSQUE'S FOODBANK ❤️🙏

Dear Ms Bridget Phillipson, we visited you today to hand in our letter asking you to deliver your promise to make counselling compulsory in every school and college across England. Don't let us fall through the cracks! #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek

Today we launch This Place Matters in partnership with Citizens UK and More in Common. The project aims to reimagine social cohesion policy in light of recent tensions. ucl.ac.uk/policy-lab/new…
