It's so sad to see Diane Rehm, a legend of public radio, leave WAMU. Her legacy is unquestionable, though, as was her commitment to her colleagues.

HOLY S**T. Yesterday evening I was riding with my daughter in the back of my cargo bike when a Cybertruck buzzed us going way above the speed limit and dangerously weaving between lanes. We yelled and flicked off the driver. I bet this is the same one. reddit.com/r/washingtondc…

#BreakingNews - Moody's has downgraded District of Columbia's (DC) rating to Aa1 from Aaa… “Outlook revised to negative.. because of the mounting negative pressure that cuts to federal spending, workforce and real estate are having on the District's economy and finances.”

DC Rating Downgrade /2 … expecting statement soon from CFO Glen Lee who himself has said DC is facing budget pressures because of mostly external factors, not DC government actions.

There are few voices that merit everyone's attention. Colby King is among the rare. I'm glad he'll be writing for a few more months.

Longtime Post columnist Joe Davidson dedicates his final piece to every Service to America winning fed since 2008. An incredible catalogue of the excellent work of the civil service now being dismantled. A perfect farewell from one institution under attack to another.

Just finished biking the 335-mile Great Allegheny Passage and C&O from Pittsburgh to D.C. in two days. Such a cool connection between the two cities, and with tons of great history on both ends. (But… maybe doing it in more days allows you to enjoy all that history!)

MY VIEW: A rally at the Giant on Alabama Avenue SE is underway for expelled D.C. Councilmember Trayon White who's running in the Ward 8 special election to regain his seat.

The Council's budget is out, and while there's a ton to dig through yet, how's this for a start: DC is getting control of Ward 4's Rock Creek Tennis Center from the feds, and will pay $9M to upgrade it. A deal has been in the works here for a while: wamu.org/story/25/06/12…
