If the Coalition have genuine objections about this they have the opportunity to act like a real opposition and demand the amendments be split off and made subject to proper scrutiny. The public interest lies here—there is no pressing reason to pass this bill quickly.

Enforced poverty doesn't encourage someone to look for work. It forces them to focus so much on survival that they don't have much capacity left for anything else. This even more especially if they're disabled.

It was a deliberate act by previous governments to dampen these groups. Taking away finances has that effect on people and orgs.
