I don’t think Trump’s America is stable enough to pose a long term threat to the world. He is in the process of gutting many of the institutions, he has alienated much of his base. He doesn’t yet have the machinery to control the public needed for his dreams of dictatorship.

Many of us are deflated by Zelinskyy’s capitulation to the Orange Incontinent One. No-one likes to see a bully win. But remember, the world is watching and judging, and nobody is seeing Trump as the good guy. America’s reputation is in the gutter, and not looking at the stars.

All Labour's cuts to PIP, Overseas Aid, Winter Fuel Allowance and the rumoured cuts to the Education budget stem from its refusal to boost growth in the UK economy by the most direct method available: beginning the process of rejoining the EU.

It's a moot point as to whether a wealth tax would actually raise a sufficiently large amount of revenue to offset the cuts that Labour are making. But it's definitely a necessity in terms of social cohesion, in starting to make people feel that "we're all in this together".

This, but also in Europe. There is not a protectionist route to reindustrialisation that doesn't make consumer goods at least 5x more expensive. People will hate it.
