Sikhs have been in Canada for over 125 years, overcoming racism and exclusion, including the Komagata Maru incident of 1914, where Sikhs were denied entry into Canada. Today, Sikh Canadians continue to contribute in all fields, from politics to medicine.

Every year on April 13th, Sikhs celebrate Vaisakhi, an important Sikh festival celebrating the birth of Khalsa, a community of Sikhs committed to justice, equality, & service. The Khalsa was formed to stand against tyranny & oppression, reminding us to defend the rights of all.
