I really enjoy North Cave Wetlands ..a great place to visit with locals always helpful and kind. Took some time to get decent views of little owls but the med gulls were too hungry to care!🙂

From this morning's butterfly count - 31 Gatekeeper, 12 Meadow brown, 5 Peacock, 4 Speckled wood, 3 each of Red admiral, Common blue & large white, 2 Wall & single Small tortoiseshell & Painted lady. Probably the recent inclement weather has kept numbers down
