"Beware the Jabberwock my son!" Year 4 have been reciting and writing poetry. We really enjoyed reading Lewis Caroll's 'The Jabberwocky'. Did you know a wabe was the wet side of a hill, or that mimsy borogoves are miserable parrots?

"Aha! Oho! Tracks in the snow, whose are these tracks and where do they go?"

"Year 2 have become fantastic designers by designing and creating salt dough fossils. We had lots of fun making the mixture and used precision and accuracy to carve the fossil patterns into the dough!"

Year 3 are big fans of Talk for Writing! This week in English, we have been learning a persuasive text and in Science, we learnt an information text about muscles. We have also been celebrating three more children achieving their Super 7. Amazing!

This week Year 5 have been writing incredible poetry in topic. Their focus has been using personification to describe the Angel of the North. The whole of Year 5 have done an incredible job and we hope to get them up on display soon.

In the ARP we have had great fun planning and making physical environments that would have made up the land of the dinosaurs. We're currently making our own i-movies of dinosaurs in their habitats.

Year 1 have been showing off their creative skills this week by creating our very own fossils. We carefully followed the instructions to make salt dough from scratch. Then the fossils were baked and painted with precision and accuracy.

Early Years, Key Stage One and Two have created Nativity scenes to celebrate the Christmas message of hope. As we have not been able to visit St. Mary's Church in Fawdon this Christmas we have helped create and spread the Christmas message in our local community. Merry Christmas!
