There seems to be more confiding Garden Warblers around this year; perhaps it’s down to the weather? A treat to see this showy bird Nosterfield Nature Reserve yesterday belting out his ‘babbling brook’ song.

Felt like a quiet day Nosterfield Nature Reserve yesterday on a warm day in early May. Garganey, Lesser Yellowlegs, LRP, Avocet, Hobby, Marsh Harrier, Great Egret, bemoaned a no show Osprey, then I thought back to when I first started watching birds in the early 1970’s. Simply incredible !

The data from the colour-marked Black-tailed Godwits keeps on coming, with sightings already received from RSPB Blacktoft Sands and the Humber, Nosterfield Nature Reserve, RSPB Leighton Moss and now into Iceland, with one sighted on the 25th April near Efri Gegnishólart, Árnessýslu – 1,600 km from the #LDV.
