The Northamptonshire Sport Schools Team is proud to support the Access2Bike scheme and Delapré Abbey Bike Doctor in delivering refurbished bikes to the schools we work with. Access2Bike provides children with bikes who might not have one otherwise. ♥️

Today is the start of Northamptonshire Sport #GirlsLoveRugbyWeek It's a busy start with visits to students from Monksmoor Park CE Primary School Ashby Fields Warwick Academy & Our Lady's, Corby finishing off at Daventry RFC for our Community Festival.

Recently, some of our Girl's Rugby students competed in a tournament held at Richmond Athletic Ground, featuring 12 schools. Our girls emerged victorious. After, they traveled to the Allianz Stadium in Twickenham, and played a series of friendly touch rugby matches.

Last night, we welcomed students from DSLV Newnham Primary The Grange School and Monksmoor Park CE Primary School along to our #GirlsLoveRugbyWeek Community Festival at Daventry RFC The event showcased girls rugby opportunities at the club. We were even joined by Loughborough Lightning Rugby ⚡️ ⚡️ star Kendall Waudby

On Monday, we took #GirlsLoveRugbyWeek on the road for the first of our in-school girls rugby taster sessions at Ashby Fields & Monksmoor Park CE Primary School Both schools were also given a surprise visit by Loughborough Lightning Rugby ⚡️⚡️star Kendall Waudby & were told all about local girls rugby opportunities

On Tuesday, we launched our #GirlsLoveRugbyWeek-inspired Year 5/6/7 Girls T1 Rugby Pilot Project with an School College & University T1 Rugby CPD course led by RFUMidsGameDev 18 primary & secondary schools received their T1 Rugby packs to help deliver back in school over the summer term.
