Nutcellars is a family company that sources macadamia nuts from cooperations of smallholder farmers in Malawi. They have been working with the farmers for over 30 years, and have a strong connection to Malawi, the warm heart of Africa.

Their great-great-grandmother, Alice Cameron, arrived from Scotland in Blantyre Malawi in 1905. With support from Equal Exchange, ScotGovID 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 helped the farmers build a warehouse and become members of Highland Macadamia Co-operative Union Limited (HIMACUL).

As part of their Malawi Partnership pioneered by Central Co-op, Nutcellars are working closely with True Origin and are now supplying Nutcellars Malawi Macadamia into Scotmid Coops mainly in Edinburgh and Glasgow.
