We found: 1⃣ Very poor n-3 fatty acid status and intake in Swiss adolescents overall. 2⃣ n-3 fatty acid status was worse in adolescents with depression than controls. 3⃣ Differences in status could not be explained by differences in n-3 fatty acid intake.
