We are very fortunate to be joined by Nutrien's Brad Westphal (Brad Westphal), CSIRO's Andrew Fletcher (Andrew_Fletcher) and DPIRD's Andrea Hills (Andrea Hills) to chat all things canola agronomy including nutrition, disease and canopy management. 10.45am start Wednesday 7 Sept.

Wheat leaf rust latent period = 7-10 days in moist canopy at 15-25degC so recent weather conditions have been favourable. Prioritise inspecting, susceptible crops (VS-MS) that have not finished flowering as they may benefit from a fungicide application. ⁦DPIRD Broadacre - WA Grains & Livestock⁩

Pretty happy with how these trials have turned out. The colours are from both different wheat varieties and levels of fungicide use. Powdery Mildew management.

Some pretty crazy yields coming off a couple trials at Pingelly. Canola Nitrogen trial highest yield topping out at 4.6 t from 400 kg N (def not max profit). And Maximus barley Phosphorus trial just cracking 8 t with 48 kg P. Profit and ROI are a lot different to yield this year

Kwinana update: First road train of our granular fertiliser is being dispatched from Nutrien’s bulk storage facility in Kwinana, WA, today. This marks a significant milestone in our recovery efforts after an industrial fire at the site two weeks ago.
