Hannah Blake, née Keep (2005-07), now a documentary filmmaker and TV producer, visited the school recently to give the Year 12 students her insights into the fast-changing media landscape, and ideas that they can use for their own creative work.

We are looking forward to welcoming back a number of former students this Friday for the OBM cricket event, which will be taking place on the BMS Sports fields. If you would like to come along to offer some support to the players, you would be very welcome. Play starts at 10am.

Last month, musician Joel Waters (2006-10) took to the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury to perform alongside Olivia Dean. Joel has been touring the world with Olivia and various other artists, and the rest of the summer will include American festivals and performing in Asia.

Forty years ago, a footbridge was built over Manton Lane for BMS students’ safety. Before that, school crossing patrols played a big part in ensuring students could walk to school safely, as seen in this photo from 1975. We would love to hear your memories of walking to school.

Bedford Modern Singers are restarting rehearsals this evening, from 7.30pm-9.00pm in M3 in the Music Faculty. Everyone with a connection to BMS and the OBM network is welcome to attend.
