Dr. Watlington: inequity in #PHLed student experiences is clear - “I heard from students who told me in some schools there are very few advanced placement courses, there are others that have a plethora of advanced placement courses.” Also, kids' access to Algebra I varies.

Watlington: Facilities planning process will be paused/delayed again. This planning process is focused on the physical conditions of schools. Watlington says this will be delayed because need to focus on the goals and guardrails, specifically education. #phled

Watlington clarifies short term action will still be taken to help current students while plan in created. Watlington explicitly references air conditioning and reading ability as short term issues the district will be addressing. #phled
