It is with great sadness that today we heard of the sudden passing of Phil (Dixie) Dean. He will be sorely missed by everyone in the Blind & Partially Sighted football world both at home & abroad and fixtures won’t be the same without him.

Adding condolences for a giant of the game. His recent commentary across the World Cup this August was a reflection of the 40 years’ experience he had across many aspects of blind football. Rest in peace, Dixie. You are missed ⚽️

Dixie.. Respect the man massively. Did so much for the game. Goalkeeper, coach, guide, kitman, referee, commentator, teacher, mentor to many. Many years, love for the game shone through. Looked out for our as well. Sad to hear this news.
