Our quarterly meeting starts now. Today's topics: Impacts of redistricting on Orange County; and update on CSDA Special District activities.

Former state Senator John Lewis just provided an overview of the new legislative districts for Orange County and the political implacations.

CSDA Exec Director Neil McCormick now providing update on member services & activities; CSDA accomplishments this year, advocacy victories.

McCormick: CSDA provided special district representation & advocacy as California Fwd developed govt. reform proposals this year.

McCormick: CSDA facilitated reasonable special district reporting of financial info to state related to govt. transparency reform.

McCormick: CSDA tracked 370 state legislative bills and actively advocated 60 bills this year. Also engaged in public pension reform.

McCormick: A member survey will be circulated to determine potential impacts of governor's pension reform proposals on special districts.
