We can and must do a better job of serving the 370,000 children in the foster care system. This is an important step toward making sure that foster youth can access the Social Security benefits they’re eligible for — and that can significantly improve their quality of life.

Proud to report Social Security has driven down the #disability backlog by over 100,000 cases! Our data through November 8th shows that our dedicated #SSA employees have been clearing more cases each week than are coming in the front door for 21 weeks in a row #StrongerTogether

Today, I’m urging the House Appropriations Committee to fully fund Social Security so we can: 📉 Restore our workforce from record staffing low 📞 Cut 800-Number wait times ⚖️ Reduce disability backlogs 💻 Update IT to better serve customers Watch now: ow.ly/YUpU50Ub1SV

I’m very proud of what the employees of Social Security have done, in a very short period of time, to better serve millions of Americans. It’s been the privilege of a lifetime to serve alongside them.
