On May 31, 1997, OPP Senior Constable Thomas P. Coffin was shot and killed in Penetanguishene, Ontario by a man he had previously arrested for impaired driving. Tom was a very well respected police officer who will always be remembered as a hero in life. #HeroesInLife

On June 9, 1968 OPP Provincial Constable Peter J. Kirk died in the line of duty when his police cruiser was struck by an oncoming vehicle on Highway 17 between Alfred and L’Original. Peter is never forgotten. #HeroesInLife

On June 11, 1948 OPP Provincial Constable George Yuile died from injuries sustained in a line of duty vehicle crash four days earlier while he was posted to Brampton. George served with the 204 Battalion in France in WWI. His service and sacrifice is never fogotten. #HeroesInLife
