Earlier this month, RFPAs, ODF and other partners gathered in Burns, OR for the Annual RFPA Summit o share information and lessons learned from the last season. Many presentations showed staggering examples of effort and commitment from RFPA volunteers in 2024.

Today, ODF deployed 14 firefighters to Alberta, four firefighters to Alaska, three to Minnesota, and one to Florida. With fire season beginning in some parts of the state, this will be the agency’s last big out-of-state resource push until the rainy fall returns in Oregon.
