Congratulations to Jan Curtis. She was named Principal of Oak Mountain Elementary School at tonight’s board meeting. She will do a great job leading OMES. We are excited to welcome her into this role.

It was a bittersweet afternoon at OMES as we said goodbye to Mrs. Horton as our principal and wished her many blessings as she starts her next adventure. She has been an incredible leader. Once a Bluebird, Always a Bluebird!! ❤️💙

Due to the threat of severe weather tomorrow, all Shelby County schools will dismiss at 1:00 p.m on Wednesday, March 17.

Due to changes in the weather forecast, our window for severe weather is now earlier than it was yesterday. As a result, all Shelby County Schools will dismiss at 11:00 today.

Updated needs: Moving boxes, large trash bags, gift cards to Home Depot/Lowe’s/Walmart, sharpies, duct tape, tarps, face wash.
