Thank you to everyone in our Oakdene Primary community for keeping everyone safe. As Mental Health week approaches, please look after yourself and your families. #StaySafeStayHealthy

Dear Rachel Bright Rachel Bright Books and Jim Fields @_JimField, Year 1 at Oakdene Primary have really enjoyed reading your book The Lion Inside. We hope you enjoy reading some of our letters.

This week Mr Hodgkinson and Mrs Hughes launched Oakdene's Children's Mental Health Week Challenge. Are you getting involved? Let us know how far you have got so far this week. FootyFactoryCoaching

Our excited Year 6 reading ambassadors loved exploring the first batch of books donated by our wonderful school community from our wish list with the brilliant A New Chapter - Children's Bookstore. We can’t wait to add them to the shelves of our growing school library!

Which Number Where - a brilliant Maths activity to get children thinking about number. Year 6 were totally focused and determined to succeed, and the looks on faces when they know they’ve got the answer is what teaching and learning is all about. Tara Loughran

What a wonderful visit we had from Sam Copeland Sam Copeland today. He was really entertaining and we now have lots of very happy children with brand new and signed books courtesy of @CurlyBookseller Waterstones Warrington. They couldn’t wait to start reading! 💕📖

What a great visit we had from Thomas Taylor today! Year 4, 5 and 6 enjoyed learning about inspiration gained from beach combing, and were in awe at his ability to turn squiggles into drawings. We have lots of happy children with signed books. Thanks @CurlyBookseller too!

Year Six had an amazing 'Career Carousel' today in the final session of our Learning to Work workshops! St Helens Chamber

We are looking to start our dreamcatcher assemblies after the Christmas break! If you are a local business who could spare some time to come and talk to us about your career then please let us know via a message! St Helens Chamber

Very proud of the outcomes on our Book Week displays. We used the focus text of 'the Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse' to inspire both written and artistic outcomes from EYFS to Y6! 😍 charlie mackesy Oakdene Primary ReadingRocks
