A relay team built for this moment. The girls' 4x100 Relay State Title is coming back home to Oaks Christian.

Oaks Christian is your back-to-back girls 4x100 state champion. Chiara Baker, Rayah Rodriguez, Kyra Terry and Devyn Sproles clocked 46.08 to win it. Long Beach Poly came in second at 46.18.

I don't think anyone is cheering harder for the Oaks Christian boys 4x800 relay team than the girls 4x100 relay runners, who won a state title earlier today.

CIF STATE FINALS The boys' 4x800 relay team of Christian Yoder, Vin Krueger, Arize Nwosu, and Cooper McNee finished in third place (7:35.94). The time set the third-fastest time in State meet history, a new Oaks Christian record, and a Ventura County regional mark.

ROYAL WORKOUT Oaks Christian School alumn Quentin Young is beginning a gauntlet of workouts for MLB teams ahead of the MLB Draft Combine and MLB Draft in July. Yesterday, Young went through a workout for the Kansas City Royals at Leko Field.

Quentin Young was named to the All CIF-SS Division 2 Baseball team. Young, who is currently participating in the MLB Draft Combine, hit .390 with 14 home runs and 34 RBIs. At the combine, Young posted the second-highest average exit velocity of 112.5.

Lawson Spruill was named to the All-CIF Southern Section Div. 2 Boys' Lacrosse Team. Spruill led the Lions to the CIF-SS Div. 2 semifinals during his senior campaign.
