The Book Fair will be in school this week, from 8.45am - 9.00am, and for 30 mins after school, Wednesday 13th - Friday 15th March. Please come along and support our fair as all proceeds go towards books & resources for the school.

It was so lovely to see everyone back to school again yesterday and to hear all your summer holiday chatter. We are also looking forward to welcoming our new Nursery and Primary pupils to Oakwood over the coming days and weeks.

We all thoroughly enjoyed today's Parents' Council Sponsored Walk around our local area to raise funds for school resources.  The weather was kind and the craic was mighty!

A very merry thank you to everyone who came along to our P3/4 Nativity this morning. The children were absolutely AMAZING. They have most definitely spread lots of Christmas cheer today! Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas🎄

We were delighted to be joined by family & friends on World Book Day.  The Dress Parade was a feast for the eyes with the staff team in full costume too! Children then worked alongside their grown ups enjoying WBD activities together.  Thank you to everyone who came along!

Thursday 1st May – Global Love Day. Parents were invited to celebrate Global Love Day alongside their child/ren in their classrooms from 9.30am to 10.30am. Great fun was had by all, with love and kindness most definitely in the air!

A HUGE thank you to Edel Diamond, Foodbank Manager, South-West Belfast Foodbank, who came along on Friday 6th June to speak with Pupil Council & P7 about the work she does in the community. Edel extended her thanks to the Oakwood family for all their generous 'tin day' donations.

Thank you to all the grown ups who came along to our Nursery Graduation on Friday 6th June 2025 and helped our children celebrate what has been a wonderful year in Nursery!

A HUGE congratulations to our P4 Sacrament children who made their First Holy Communion on Sunday 8th June 2025. Thank you to family, friends and the Oakwood community for coming along to support our children. Finally, thank you to Father Robert.
