Great day at Southampton FC yesterday presenting our new post 16 programme ‘Oarsome Pathways’ at the ‘Your Future’ careers event from SouthamptonCC . A brilliant day showing off our new prospectus and creations from the young people of OC.

We've been digging-in for the Summer! Making the most of any growing space, including strawberries in a CD shelf and lettuce in an empty oil drum! Lots of skills learning, alongside all the wellbeing benefits of helping plants to grow (and eating the results!)

Exciting projects to reveal next week and so many fun activities with the young people this week. We also said goodbye to our year 11s who are moving on to college and work. We celebrated with a day at the water park and a BBQ. You’re Oarsome, Class of 23!

Thanks to art students from City of Portsmouth College for this amazing mural inspired by OC’s work. They worked to our brief as a part of their work experience unit. A fantastic collaboration now filling the workshop with colour and inspiring our young people!

Big thanks to Marco and the team at Langstone Quays Resort for a behind the scenes tour of the hospitality industry as part of our Pathways Programme.

We want to send huge thanks to everyone who supported our Growing Oarsome fundraising campaign. We raised a fantastic £1751.58, including Gift Aid. Special well done to Paul and Jane, who took on fundraising challenges - big thanks to them and their sponsors!

Thank you to Bradlee for answering our Student Voice questions and sharing your OC journey. We’d also like to thank CABWI Awarding Body who provide funding that means we can help young people like Bradlee plan for their future and achieve their goals.
